DNC Speeches

Here are what I feel to be the most powerful speeches of the convention so far; Hillary Clinton has really improved as an orator:

Bill Clinton, whatever else he is, was, or could be, is someone who can deliver one hell of an incredible speech:

I watched John Kerry wondering where the hell this man was four years ago:

And Joe Biden:

I can't wait for Obama's speech tonight!

Since I missed both Clintons' speeches, I caught up with them through the Times (which offers video next to the transcript, and whatever part of the transcript you click on the corresponding part in the video will cue up. Awesome.). While I have liked all of the speeches I've seen/read, I was most moved by Hillary's, and I didn't even watch her. I really liked Obama's opening video tonight too. It just seemed so different, so History Channel documentary, than what I expected at a convention.

I liked the part in the video when he grumbled about having to get up at 4:30 in the morning and his mother would say something like, "This is no picnic for me either, bud"! What an awesome thing to say!

I also really liked some of the inclusions of photos that we (or at least I) haven't seen before. Like, the photo of him and Michelle after their wedding. So, so sweet!
