Glenn Beck's Tears

I'm working on a rather large project, inspired by the SXSW band statistics. This may or may not work; it may or may not come to pass. In the interim though, while I'm still full of boundless optimism, watch Colbert take on Glenn Beck:

I have one question. Well, I have many questions. But the main one is this: How did this man become a conservative icon? He starts crying all the time! That isn't manly. How can one be considered a conservative manly man if you're tearing up every five seconds?

I don't understand how anybody can not love The Colbert Report after seeing a segment like that. There were way too many quotes to mention now, but I have to say I love Stephen's Cryptkeeper impersonation. Also, Glenn Beck ... I don't get it.

I love that segment. Still not a fan of The Colbert Report. Because I watched the rest of the show. And I hated it.

Apparently, Glenn Beck is a recovering alcoholic. I wonder if that has something to do with the crying.

Usually, twelve-step programs encourage these kinds of emotional outbursts as part of the "healing" process.

Not sure they're really appropriate for television, though . . .
