I'll admit he's a bit of a (well-intentioned and chivalrous) chauvanist at times, but there is an interesting difference between the way he treats women he works with (Zoe and Kaylee) and women he's romantically interested in (Inara.) I suppose Saffron and Nandi(sp?) fall somewhere in between.
